Question for Admin

I am the wagonmaster for the 2014 Northeast Crossroads Rally. I was just looking for the EDIT button mentioned in the instruction page for this forum and could not find it. The reason I ask is if you look at the lead post for the Rally it has all the information our members need to plan for the rally. If I need to Edit the lead post to add a member who has registered late, or add information, HOW DO I DO THAT????

On the old format (forum) I could just click on edit. I am sure it is something I have missed, NOT a computer guy

Thanks in advance for your help.

Wow---Ok I have just used the EDIT botton on this post as you can see. Now my question is when I go to 2014 Northeast Crossroads Rally lead post why is there no EDIT botton on that post???? As I already said I'm not good with computers.

I wonder if the EDIT mode is time sensitive. I do not have an EDIT bottom of my lead post for Northeast Crossroads Rally.

Tommy, I don't know what more to tell you.
When I go to that page I see the edit button, and when I click on it, it will bring it right up for editing.

Lloyd, since you are a Site Team member, do you have different buttons than the rest of us? Just a thought.

Go back and read this thread. It will tell you what you have to do. There is a post there on editing.

And the post on editing says posts can be edited for a brief period after posting. Only Moderators can edit posts after the edit window has expired.

My suggestion would be cut and paste OR quote your list and edit it before reposting. Good luck.

Tommy's concern is that he needs to modify a post over several months. Sans that ability he will have to copy the original post and repost as needed, which is confusing to folks reading the thread.

Rick, Tommy's concerns have been addressed, and fixed by admin.
The way it's looking we have a support team here on this new forum that is willing to bend a little and help us out when we ask for something legitimate.
what a wonderful feeling that is after what we endured on the old forum.

Yes Thank you Janet H (admin), and Lloyd (site team) for the quick response.

Rick thanks for your input also, and all of you that responded.

Lloyd it is nice to know we don't have to just indure the lack of interest by Admin in our forum. Great strides and improvements.
