The brochure/literature numbers all tend to be lighter than actual weights due the manufacturer calculating these numbers from the dry rv weight, which BTW is a useless weight to all except possibly the factory delivery driver.
Your best calculations would/should be 10-15% (13% is a good average)of the GVWR posted on rv manufacturer tag on the driver side front corner of the RV, this will give the max that should ever be on the tongue.
As a 1st time rv owner this percentage + 100+lbs for the hitch + the weight of everyone/everything in/on your truck that didn't come from the factory equals your total payload that's subtracted from your trucks payload posted on the yellow/white tag on the drivers door post stating "occupants & cargo must not exceed XXXX lbs", if your total is more than the truck you're overloaded.
FYI, the max tow weight for your tow vehicle is also a useless number when calculating towing capabilities in the rv world, you'll exceed payload & most likely max axle weights before towing the max.
