Good Morning Everyone;

I am about to purchase my first travel trailer. I am not looking to travel with it; I will be putting it a campsite in Northern Illinois on the Chain of Lakes to use on weekends. I don't know a lot about trailers...I shopped a bit and found this one that looked to be a good value for me and my family.

Any comments or feedback on this particular model would be greatly appreciated.

2011 Crossroads Zinger 39BH - destination trailer.

thank you!

A couple at a local camground I stay at bought one of these last season. Appears to be a good looking unit and the couple built a deck at the slider entry. I think they ordered it with the awning delete option becuase they added a covered deck. I've looked at the Zinger's several times over the years and they are a good value, feature a longer than average warranty, and a finished well for the price range. Since you'll be using it as a residential unit make sure you get the largest AC you can order, ensure the unit has an enclosed underbelly, and if an option get the slideout toppers.

Zinger is a nice entry level trailer. We bought ours in January and love it. It has had a couple of small problems and crossroads has stood behind their product and covered it under warranty without problem. Most new trailers from any manufacturers will have some problems, the question is how the company stands behind their product. Crossroads seems to stand behind their product for me and from what I have seen on this board. Between that and the 2 year warranty (some manufacturers only offer a 1 yr warranty), I chose the zinger for my 1st trailer. I have been in campgrounds where I have had people walk up to me and tell me they love their zinger or they miss their zinger (sold it on an upgrade and bought a different brand).

Thanks everyone - Well I was considering Lake Marie Campgrounds but we decided on going with Captain's Quarters - we'll see how it goes this year - the great thing about buying a travel trailer is that if we don't like the campground/area, we can move!
come have a beer with me!

Does anyone think the 13.5 ac will be too small? They had told me it was upgraded to 15, but then told me it was actually 13.5. Well 13.5 cool that place on a hot summer day?

Not aware of the campground but I do kinda remember the bar. Is that big old anchor still sitting by the entrance of Drexel blvd and Grass Lake Road?

For that size of a trailer...15k would have been better....or will be needed on those HOT Illinois summer days...

You have 39' of trailer with a tall ceiling and slides. A 13.5K unit will NOT keep up on a hot summer day.

Go with the 15k if you can still order it for those humid July / August days. The difference is small. It takes a lot more money going from $0 - $300 than from $300 -$375.
