Smile Crossroads Elevation resale value

Does anyone have resale value experience?
I was considering trading for a different 5er and found that my 3 year old trailer is only valued at 30% of original MSRP and 50% of what I paid for it. Do Crossroads products depreciate that much so quickly and do other brands depreciate so quickly?

Sounds like a typical rv, expensive to buy & once you clear the dealers driveway their worthless.

Yes That sounds familar...... You CAN'T "trade it in" you must sell it yourself. and you will get most of the value out of it. Dealerships will make you think your camper isn't worth anything.. But try to buy a 3 year old on......
Good Luck

Yup..... Once your off a dealer lot expect 50% return within 4-5 years in most cases. They are just Money Pits as I call Them.
When we traded in our 2006 MH in 2014 for our current one we told the dealer we needed a night to think about it. I told my wife that there is no way possible that I would take under $39,500 for our trade. Thinking that there was no way they would give me that I was in the clear with the wife since she was the one talking me into a new rig.
Next day we went back and dealer who was surprised to see us and I said to him what is the best you can do on our trade?.... To this day I have no idea why, but the first figure he said was $39,500. Hummmmm.. Did the wife call them without me knowing or was it meant to be? Anyhow we ended up with a new one that day!
