Crossroads won't answer me!

Hi, we're torn between between Crossroads and a (Keystone) Cougar Half-ton (we have 6 trailers as contenders). I have written to Crossroads several times asking questions about 2 new floorplans and get no response. While we were leaning toward Crossroads, my fear is that if they ignore us before we buy, they will be worse after we buy when they have our money. Suggestions?

Just FYI!
You are aware that Crossroads is under the management/leadership of Keystone & both are owned by Thor.

I first contacted my local dealer. He answered what he could and said he contacted Crossroads for more information. They were to get back to him and haven't. I tried emailing (with no response), then I called (with the same result as our dealer - they'd get back to me), then I emailed again. Is this typical customer service response from Crossroads?

Just a guess but could be with everything going on and the increase in sales they are leaving things to the dealer network. Are the campers you are interested in on a lot somewhere that you could look at? Also i would think a dealer should know the product line to answer your questions.

Just curious what are the questions that you have?

Have you tried to call Keystone...? If not try calling Keystone and if you get a person try asking them about Crossroads, or better yet ask them to connect you to a Crossroads representative...

I look at the response you are getting as: TYPICAL.
They dont care. What else would you call it? when a customer (Potential) is asking questions one would think that a replay is very important as they could loose the sale over ignoring the question. Any response is better than the no response you are getting.

On top of that, with the RV sales in the last year, they dont care, again.

This comes from my having the same treatment only mine came after we bought and they basically told me it was not their concern, go to the dealer and they told me that it was the manufacturer, great custom relations (Crossroads) but they are a Thor product and Thor reaches a long way.

Good Luck

Customer service

We had a brand new Forest River and after our sale we had some issues. The dealer was no help and a run around with Forest River. Camper was 9 months old. The difference came when we found another dealer who actually cared about our problem and took care of the warranty service even though they had not sold us the camper.
I guess I would recommend finding a dealer who really cares. Ask around to people who have dealt with them not just for sales but for service after the sale.
We now have a 2016 Cruiser 305RS that we bought used. I really like the quality and I have found this site with other Crossroads owners very helpful.
Good luck and don’t give up. We have only been campers for 2 years now and love it. Trying to convince my wife to sell out and go full time. No luck yet but she has already booked 3 campgrounds for this summer. In Maine!

Also keep in mind that the RV industry is VERY different from the Auto industry. With the RV industry, the DEALERS are the customers so they usually tend to get answers back faster than us. That’s still no excuse for ignoring responses but it’s a bit of an explanation as to why you may not have received a response yet. Ask your dealer for the contact info for his Crossroads rep. When I did that, I started getting answers

I did lots of research prior to buying my Crossroad Cameo fifth wheel. I didn’t have a need to call them prior to buying but I’ve tried three different times about some other questions and never heard a peep. Not a real confidence builder.

Other than being ignored, I love my cameo and would buy another one next time in a heartbeat.

I agree if they have questions why not ask them here. Someone may have a answer.

As I see it, this type of issue is system-wide. With RV sales at an all-time high, and with Covid keeping employee numbers down, there are too many people trying to contact not enough qualified people. Which is also why parts availability is at issue, and well as service department backups. The whole RV industry is a mess, and it's not just Crossroads or Keystone.
If you have a question, there are knowledgeable people right here, you're pretty likely to get a more accurate answer here.

I just purchased a Cameo 3081RK, I contacted Crossroads customer service several times and spoke with a rep, I had to wait several minutes but I did get my questions answered. I love the Cameo fifth wheel.
