Crossroads customer service is second to none!!! I have a 2007 Cruiser CF31QB and just took a trip to Indiana Dunes State park from mid-state IN. On our way to the dunes we had a couple of mis-haps. First of all our 4-place Yakima rack broke with only 3 bikes on it and we lost the 3 bikes. We did get them back but the damage is not fixable. Then after we arrived at the campground and went inside our camper we found our TV on the floor. Now to explain, the 2007 model didn't have the flatscreen TV mounted from the factory, there was just a space in the cabinetry above the kitchen sink to put a tube tv in. Yes it was strapped in, but they must have slid off because they were still fastened. On the way to the floor the TV hit the kitchen counter top and broke the counter. Since we were in northern IN anyway I called Crossroads to see if I could buy another counter top. Randy Michler (SP?) called me back within minutes and informed me that they could not only have me a new counter top by Fri, I called on Wed., but they could also work me in to have it installed there at the factory!! I never dreamed that they would install it. I did have to pay for it, obviously, but that isn't the best part. While we were there waiting for our camper to be fixed Randy Neilson came out and talked to us, took us over to the factory where our camper was made and gave us a tour while we were waiting. During the tour we were talking about all of our misfourtune on this trip and then he asked us if we would like a new LCD TV. I thought he was going to offer us a good deal on one so I said yes, then he continued to inform me that they had one that had been installed in a new unit and had come loose in transit to the dealer and got some scratches on it and they had it sitting in the service shop that I could take a look at it and if I wanted it I could have it!!! When I called Crossroads I hoped that I could pick up a new counter top and install it myself when I got home, but they went the extra 10 miles and installed it for me and gave me a new TV, and since they had to remove the stove and sink they pressure tested both gas and water systems, and I had a drawer that had broken that they noticed and they fixed it too, free. I just wanted to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH to everyone at Crossroads and let everyone else know what kind of company they are, I can promise that you will never get better customer service than I got that day, they turned a bad trip into an excellent vacation for me and my family!!! Thank you again to anyone from Crossroads that reads this!!

Firefighter, I feel much like you do. The folks at Crossroads are simply outstanding on customer service. I can't imagine another manufacturer who could best them.

I agree. We took or trailer to the factory in June for a roof repair. I asked about getting a front graphic replaced that was peeling and they said no problem. When we picked up our trailer the next day they had also replaced another defective graphic that they found. No charge for anything. Randy Mischler and the ladies in the office couldn't have been nicer. Only mistake (?) we made was leaving there and camping at Shipshawanna North campground next to an 09 CF30SK Patriot addition. Wife fell in love with the changes in the new Patriot model, so did I, so we get our new 2010 CF30SK Patriot model in early August. The decision was a lot easier because of the service Crossroads provides to its customers.

Spinella, no it was not a bumper mount bike rack, it was the kind that slids into the reciever hitch. Ours came with the 1 1/4 reciever on the bumper and the hitch was of the 1 1/4 size.

firefighter, Interesting you had a problem with your factory installed hitch. We have the factory installed hitch on our unit too and haven't had any issues in the 6,000 miles I have towed the bikes. I'm using a 2" -> 1 1/2" adapter with a 8 year old steel Hollywood bike rack. My rack weights about 60lbs and each bike weights between 25 and 30 lbs ea. All combined I'm close the max rating with the adapter. Could have the bouncing added the breaking stress on your rack / hitch? The rack I have has a wedge that tightens between the hitch pin and receiver to take out the slop. The only movement I have is between the adapter and factory hitch about 1/8".

Glad to hear CR took of you and your issues. _popupControl();

Just to clarify, the problem that I had with the bike rack was with the rack itsself, not with the hitch part on the camper. It was a weld on the bike rack that broke.

I agree about the great customer service that I have received from Randy and Shannon...outstanding...I have had a lot of issues, and still have more. I have read a lot on here about others who have had a lot of issues...while I agree that Crossroads customer service is outstanding...it seems to me that I do not think I would buy another product from them...I just do not want my investment having continued issues to have to worry about...Customer Service is VERY important, but just to buy because of that is not...to me...I do not want to have to worry...I know that most manufacturers have QC problems...just scorned.

We have a 2010 zinger travel trailer/bunk room. Very nice, we bought it because it had everything we needed for our first RV. We have had nothing but trouble with ourslideout. before our summer vacation the service dept noticed that our new zinger had rotten tires on it. I am not very happy with my Zinger that I loved. The service dept that we have it at has been very nice. But, it has taken them 4 weeks to get a part? they have been more than helpful since we didnt buy it there. I will never buy another crossroads again. I will never trust a company that sells a new rv with rotten tires.(still no refund) also we have been paying a rv note and havent had it for 4 weeks. I feel that we just purchased a defected product. I would love to trade it in....but we would lose way to much money. Its sad because I really loved my zinger.....now we have no confidence in it.

I would get rid of it for sure! I mean why would you take it in for warrenty repairs when you have such a piece of junk. There's a very long thread here regarding slide out issues so you are not alone. As for rotton tires why didn't the service department replace them? What parts are you waiting for that take so long? Most dealerships have parts shipped to them from the factoryvia an RV that's destined for their lot.Sorry that you are so dissatisfied with your trailer, but I think that no matter which RV you choose there are always some issues and from your post sounds like you are hard to please. There are numerous threads here recommending any issues getting warranty work done to talk to Randy at CrossRoads whom I understand is easy to deal with and gets issues resolved.

Oh, by the way, welcome to the forum!

Thanks for your reply...I am not hard to please,Why would you say that? I love my zinger. I just dont understand all these slideout problems. How can I trade it in? I would lose alot of money or we would have already traded it! I have no idea why it hastaken the part this long???? They said they should have it in by this Friday. Ridculous in my opinion. As for the tires....I don't understand this at all!! The headquarters wanted pictures of the tires...they were sent by service dept....same ole same ole....the headquarters did not recieve them. They are trying to send them again. We love Rving !!!! Just wish I had my RV back... missing alot of trips !!! We are new to rving and I will not let thisruin our future plans on one day becoming fulltimers. I know things break....but, really 4 weeks in the shop?? You would think the part was being sent from Europe.

I'm out of warranty and a happy CR customer. I have had some minor warranty issues and an inconvenient warranty issue while on vacation. I certainly am no shill for CR but have to say they have always stepped up and done the right thing.

Bmwmama, I have to believe your issue is with your servicing dealer. CR does not and has not taken 4 weeks to ship parts. This issue is clearly on your servicing dealer, which may not be a CR dealer. Call CR directly and discuss your issues. My servicing dealer of choice is not a CR dealer but has now been approved as a CR authorized repair facility. They have been able to work with CR and resolve any issues I have. Like you, I am not unreasonable. Both the dealership and the manufacturer have been great to work with.

Good luck!

Wow, I have to agree sounds like a dealer issue, I had our camper in the shop for an Axle issue on a Monday morning and was back on the road Friday night, Two new Axle's a new rim and tire instaled and all. And I know none of it was in stock.

I'm sure CrossRoads has their issues but gosh they sure are good at hiding them

I would do a little more digging at the dealer and ask them who they are dealing with at the factory, Once you know that you can let us know who is dropping the ball there and we will call them out on here, Afgain though I'm guessing it is the dealer. It is Vacation season maybe the main person is off ?

CrossRoads would not approve the service work. Saying it was the parts manufacter fault. Told them to get part from the manufacter.........I Don't care who's fault.. I wanted it fixed! Still sitting there. I just hope it will be ready on Friday.

BMWMAMA,

Based on what I have been reading I reading Dealer issues.

Not sure when you purchased your unit. But if you purchased it this year I would question the dealer on why they would allow you to purchase the unit with failing tires. Tires don't rot in a season. It's a gradual detoritation overtime. As for the part you need I don't see why CR wouldn't authorize the warranty if you still in warranty unless it was owner neglegence. I know some dealers will step up and take the needed part from a new unit, get you on the road to happiness, and replace the missing part with the warranty part.

Good Luck and have spoken with CR directly? I understand that you paid for dealer service, but really is sounds like the dealer is failing you.

You should be able to get the date code off the tires, If they are old enough I would make it a warranty issue one way or another. I would not want them more than 6 -8 month old from time of delivery
