Sunset Trail: 2013 SS29 or 2017 SS290QB

I'm in the market for a new or "new-to-me" camper. Am debating between a 2013 Sunset Trail SS29 or a 2017 Sunset Trail SS290QB. Very similar floorplans. Going to look at both within the week. We have noticed the new 2017 model is an SS289, which in our opinion, has been downgraded from the "older" 2017 SS290 (1 year warrantee (vs 2 yr), harder to access bench storage, different shower, "philon" front cap); therefore, we like the slightly older SS290 over the new SS289.

My thoughts on these two specific campers I've found:
2013 SS29 Pros
- $17,900 ($6000 less than new)
- Fireplace

2017 SS290 Pros
- New
- 2-year warrantee
- Outdoor kitchen

Thoughts from owners of either or folks with trailer experience. We are moving up from a pop-up camper.

Has the 2013'sfront cap been painted yet? Fireplace isn't a deal breaker as I wish I had cupboards there thus allowing for a lower Television. Out kitchen is nice. Make sure tires are inline with each other, you can place a straight 2x4 on outer edge of tires to see if they are inline..look to see if the top of tires are rubbing on bottom of trailer.

Thanks

Harley,

Thanks for the info. I'll check on the paint for the cap; I don't know. I agree on the fireplace. The advantage is using campground electrical vs. propane, but I can also easily use a space heater. I'll also check the tires.
