Well, just picked up brand new 2010 27bh. We started packing it, moving items from our wildwood 26LE, and almost immediately realize the lack of outside storage. I guess we just overlooked that it just really doesnt have much outside (access) storage. Of course our favorite chairs do not fit either! There is however a ton of storage inside.

But in the spirit of trying to look at the positives, i guess its a good opportunity to weed out some of the stuff you just never use!

We are still excited about our purchase. We did heave ho the master bedroom mattress, and put a memoryfoam in its place instead. And we added an Eagle Decal- dressed in an american flag landing on the sunset graphic on the back of the trailer, looks awesome.

happy trails

Congrats on the new rig. Hopefully all the fun you have will overcome the few shortcomings you have discovered.

thanks for the reply. We Just returned back from first trip, and it certainly was enjoyable. The camper was extremely comfortable- it got plenty of use- RAIN! I would recommend the 27bh.

I am afraid we too will miss the back storage area of our current camper. But then again I hauled a lot of stuff that I really didn't need. A long hose for example, I think I can get by with a shorter one.
Less storage=less extra junk=less weight.

Congrats by the way on the BH

We just got our new CT29RLX Cruiser in Dec . and haven't had time to use it except for one night shake down to check it out . We traded a 2012 Roamer for it because we wanted more inside cabinets and this baby really has that ! It only has the one pass through under the bed and that will hold quit a bit if you put the stuff that don't use much in the center and the water hose andthings like near the door . We also have a topper on the F150 with storage boxes so I thinkWe'll be ok .I have been trying to find two small boxes to hold the wheel chocks on each side that I will mount rite next the the front wheels on the frame so I can pop the box open and grab the two chocks .

LAZY HUH ??? lol Well it get's back to space for stuff to go .

Well, I take delivery of my new Sunset Trail Reserve CR20RLon Wednesday. I'm very excited! This will be our fifth travel trailer in 40 years. However, I'm a little concerned as to the slide, appears there has been some issues with it. Hopefully it's isolated. Does anyone have any comments on the electric awning? how substantial is it in the wind? I really dont want to have to retract it every nite. I traded down from a 34' Makofifthwheel built by Gulf Stream since my kids and grandkids dont go often with us anymore.
Happy camping to all!!
