Would you buy another Sunset Trailer?

I’m looking for some honest opinions before I spend my hard earned money on a Sunset Trailer.

My wife and I are in the market for a new travel trailer, we currently own a 2014 Zinger 31SB Bunkhouse model. We originally purchased the camper with our kids in mind, not so much for our own personal comfort. Fast forward 6 years later the kids have grown up and their not interested in camping any longer. We were very fortunate or lucky not have any significant problems with our Zinger, so with that we were very pleased with a CrossRoads product. Now that the kids are gone it’s time for me, the wife and the dog to find a camper that has the comforts that suits Our needs. We have our eye on a 2021 Sunset Trailer SS330SI its their Rear living room model. It’s a beautiful camper with way more comforts than the Zinger. My question to all of you individuals that currently own a Sunset trailer is, if you had the opportunity to buy another Sunset trailer, would you?

I have had no major problems with my Sunset Trail. I would likely buy another if I decided not to step up in luxury.

Hell no

Not just no, but hell no.

Within the first 12 months:

New water pump
Self leveling wiring issues
New roof (yes you read that right)
New slide seals (both sides)
Slide problems three times (corrected by installing non factory modIfication)
Dinette back screws stripped out of wall
Ceiling trim fell down (all of them)

Currently have:

slide seals cracked again
Ceiling trim falling
Bedroom door hinges stripped from jamb
Bathroom door hinges stripped from jamb
Trim around entry door warped
Trim on both sides of front cap falling out

I've had other brand units so I know there will be things to address given the extremely poor quality workmanship on RV's but to have major problems so soon has destroyed my faith.

Just my experience

Sunset Trail

Yes, I would recommend this product. I have a 2013 5th wheel and only had minor issues the first 6 years which I could fix myself. The worst thing is the bonded leather issue, but many other makes had that too.
I did never use the outside kitchen, so I removed it and have now another big storage area.
After 4 years the water pump went bad and I needed a seal for the toilette.
From time to time I check for water leaks and make sure the fittings are still tight. Kitchen works great, water heater perfect.
The roof A/C went bad year 6, easy to change out to a more modern unit.
In the 6th year a minor drop leak at the skylight, fixed with caulk.
I used this 5th wheel now for about 300 days and 20K miles.
Greetings, Harold
