Hi Barron. I have a 2014 Sunset Trail Reserve which may be identical to yours in the make up but I'm not too familiar with Forest River trailers. That said, the fuses that connect power to everything should be the same. Knock on wood, I haven't had to replace a fuse yet.

My thoughts on the Auto re-sets:
    - mine do not have a push button to reset them. They work on electrical current. If the current is to high it will trip them and there must be a thermocouple inside that separates and when they cool down they will transmit current until the next time they over heat.
I have two mounted on the front of the trailer where the positive cable comes from the battery. One is for the slide but not sure what the other is for. I have electric stabilizer jacks and there are auto re-set breakers for each motor which I have housed in electrical boxes mounted to the frame next to the jacks. The breaker is a square(ish) metal box with a flange for mounting. There is no reset button on mine.

If you have this type of auto re-set they should have reset themselves as soon as you changed the 40amp fuse or actually, if they blew too, they should have reset themselves almost right away. These breakers do go at times and you could check them with a continuity tester. Unhook the wires from the terminals on the fuse and use the probes to test them. If there is a buzz they work, if not replace them.

    Getting long winded here.
If your other appliances A/C, furnace, radio, etc. are not working you should check all the other fuses. I believe in the control panel at the base of the fridge near the floor (on mine) there are two packs of fuses. One is for the 12vdc items and the other is for the 120vac. Check all these fuses to see if any are blown.
Let me know how you make out on this one.

I live in Winnipeg, - St. Norbert area
    Cheers
    Ed
