In my case, the dealer has bolted two bars to the frame and welded a hitch to it. Actually, after 10 000kms, it is great for 4 bikes...but I'm still binding the rack to limit the up-and-down...

The problem is not the weight of the trailer but the weight of the King pin. My F150 SuperCrew has a payload of 2200# with the HD package and my little FW has a weight of close to 1600#...
