I just supported the roller with a second step ladder. Be VERY careful when removing the plastic wire ties that keep the new arm compressed! I cut one and the second was not strong enough to handle...

The 60 pound shock under our queen bed would hold it up until we added the additional weight of blankets etc. I changed if out to an 80 pound and it works fine.

I do not use a cover for the reason that Mark quoted. If I did use a cover, I would cover the antenna with a plastic storage container or similar item to protect both the antenna and the cover.
