Code was error 8 Hall signal not present,encoder...

Code was error 8 Hall signal not present,encoder not providing signal. Usually a wiring problem. I pulled motor wiring looked fine at the motor.

When I open my slide I noticed that the left side stops and the right side keeps closing which leaves a 2" gap on one side? When I close the slide it will sometimes stop and leave a code red led 8...
