The light should be hot from the breaker box to...

The light should be hot from the breaker box to the light, then to the switch. You should not have to turn the light on to get power to the fan. This is what my RV dealer service manger told me.

Is there a light next to the bedroom vent? Mine is the same way and the service manager where I bought my RV says that I can tap into the power that feeds the light. Just make sure you get the one...
