After mine was painted with color it was also painted with clear coat...I was told that will lock the color in so it will not fade as easily...:D

harley is correct...Go to a auto body shop and have them paint and clear coat the cap...The difference between the original CR paint and what the auto body shop paints on the camper you will never be...
