I do have the TV hooked up there the DVD player....

I do have the TV hooked up there the DVD player. I have played around with it and still nothing. The dealer has no clue about it either. Sounds like everyone must have the same type of Player and TV....

Does the surround sound only work with the DVD player? Why not when the regular TV is playing? Or is this the way it is set up to be?
