I have a 05 2500 HD Crew Cab short bed Chevy DMax. Reese 16K Signature Series slider hitch. Handles the 26RK with no problem.

I have a 2010 Cruiser 26 RK. The bed lifts up and there is storage under the bed. Access is from the foot of the bed. Not sure this answers your question.
