Zinger 32QB
Anybody living in Georgia with a 32QB. We have a 2012, and are looking forward to our first spring camping trip of the season.

Sorry...We are in Ohio. Just bought a 32QB in September. We used it a couple times and can't wait to open it up next month!!
I like the color scheme of ours, but the blues on your 2012 I like better

That's too bad, but your camper looks good. Our camper has served us well thus far. We have had a few minor issues that have been taken care of under warranty. My biggest issue has been the black streaks that are almost impossible to remove.

Usually wax will work wonders on black streaks after you have them. You probably already know this, but if you will keep your roof clean, you won't have nearly as much trouble with black streaks. I normally use Thetford Rubber Roof Cleaner and Conditioner on mine three or four times a year. Keeping it under a shed will also be a huge help, but if you don't have a shed just keeping the roof clean will make a big difference.

Thanks for the tip! Is the roof strong enough to support walking on to clean?

If I remember right, the literature that came with our rig said not to use any conditioners on the roof. All that was needed was cleaning.
Have they changed their stance on this?

I have a different zinger.... 26BL. Great tt, it has served us well. For the black streaks, keep your roof clean. We wash our tt (roof included) twice a year. Our roof is ok to walk on. We then give the tt a good buffing with a compound and electric buffer to pull the black steaks off. Finish off with Maguires spray on wax. We couldn't get those stubborn black steaks off until we did this method. It pulled 2yr old baked on black streaks off. I love it!

We have a 2011 model 32 QB. Been back to dealer 5 times in the first 2 years for the same water leak in the left front storage compartment. It has been to crossroads 2 times for them same leak. 2:weeks ago they tell me its done. I have to drive 200 miles to pick it up on a sat. Know body to meet me there. I open the door. And still water leaking I'm. It has been there since thanksgiving 2013. Still waiting for them to fix it. I lost all confidence in them....and the flooring was all jacked up too.the front of that camper has been taken off 5 times now. Crazy....

Most RV roofs are strong enough to walk on. I can't speak to yours specifically, but I would suspect it is. However, I don't particularly like walking around on mine with soap and water everywhere, so I just use a ladder and an RV brush.

Honestly, I don't know. I've used the Thetford stuff on four different RVs and I've never had any problems with the roof. It works well as long as you keep the roof in good shape and don't let it go too long between cleanings.

Thanks for all this great info on keeping the roof clean. I never really thought about it, but it makes total sense if you clean the rolled roof, you reduce the likelihood of black streaking.
It's always good to call customer service, but my understanding is you can walk all the Crossroad products roofs except for the Sunset Trail Ultralight trailer line. I have one of these great trailers. Super Super light, but aat the cost of the framing and roof strength.
The roof is timbered to be as light as possible and I was told by customer service it is indeed not walkable. This means you can't go to NASCAR and sit on lawn chairs with your buds (friends and/or beer). But, it does not preclude you from getting on the roof for repairs, cleaning, etc.
When I swapped out the factory bath fan (which is garbage I might add) with my power vent fan, customer service said to use a piece of CDX or plywood when I got up there in order to spread my weight across the cross beams.

Bridging the beams is a sound piece of advice for working on top of the roof regardless of how they are built.

Good to know. So is there risk of tearing the roof with the plywood? Should it have carpet on it or some softer cover on the edges?

There shouldn't be any worry of tearing the roof if you are careful moving it.
I wouldn't put carpet or anything like it under the plywood. You will end up making a mini boggen, and end up on the ground.

X2. I walk on the roof to do normal maintenance and cleaning. I just stay on the trusses.
