They are just waterproof connectors.. there is waterproof grease inside them.

I bought the one I listed and they've come in handy a number of times. I keep a few spares in my tool kit.

It's a splice connector. You'll want to see which wire was broken or ripped out. From what I remember, you should have two wires coming through the axle, which connect to the electric brakes inside...
