RJ you can adjust the position of the igniter and that may help you out. Sometimes it's a little to far away from the gas.

The stove has it's own regulator that can't be adjusted but could be bad. You could get a regulator that will flow less gas but that will affect your high output. RV stoves are non adjustable...
