The fix was to cut approximately 1/2" off the end...

The fix was to cut approximately 1/2" off the end of the angle bar and remount the top of the shock to the next hole. If your angle bar looks like it has been cut off, or if you have about 1"...

That was for shocks. Your rig may have had them originally. There was a problem a few years back with those mounts hitting the tires so CR issued a fix to cut them back and remount the shocks closer...
