Thanks for everyones suggestions. My wife search all over net and could not find a conversion kit for awning. Tomorrow if have time my wife and I plan on taking the motor out and see what happened....

Papa it looks like I need a new motor, does not work even with 12 volt hooked direct to it.. the motor is close to 500 dollars.
Do you or anyone reading this , know of a conversion kit to switch it...

Just checked and they don't have any plug to remove to get a cordless drill to retract it. Had to remove screws to roll it up to camper, and can get only one screw to line up. At least it is up....
