If you have never been to a Factory Rally they do a time on Sat where they bring pizza in and want to hear what you like and don't like about CrossRoads and what you don't. I love sitting there and listning to all of the great feedback, Who knows these things better than us ?? They are very open, take notes and really listen to what you have to say. I doubt they read my post but just in case they do let's hear it, what would you say if you were there ?

If there was something you could change, Something you don't like, Something you would add, delete, move, rasie , lower

Me, I would put good tires on, An outside radio option, Better radio inside the camperEdited by: gtoguy1967

Good thread idea Don. Might be helpful if we all included the year & model of our unit.

1. Outside power outlet next to storage compartment

2. Drawers under bed instead of lift-up option

3. If you are going to add outside speakers, also add a headphone jack

4. Place water filter someplace where you can get at it

5. Add water filter bypass option for winterizing

6. Add led light option for all outside lights

7. Change outside compartment doors back to flip up rather than side by side

8. Make battery compartment seperate and accessible from outside

9. Add window in kitchen, even if small

10. Add clear cover (flexible vinyl) option to screen door

11. Make living area/kitchen light switch accessible in the dark

12. Make sure all models have a coat rack.....somewhere

13. Install shelve option/hangar bar in washer/dryer compartment

14. Move hot water bypass to outside water compartment or someplace where it is accessible

15. Change the end of bumper rubber plugs to the kind that has a little knob on them so they don't fall out and then you don't have to share your sewer hose with the highway dept

16. Add a place to store the sewer hose other than the bumper

17. I did suggest this at the rally I was at a few years ago. Add an option to allow the gray water to be pumped into the black tank flush. Then when you go to a dump station that doesn't have a hose connection you can still flush the black tank

My list is small at the moment as we've only been one one 5-day trip. Next month we are off for 3 weeks so I'm sure we'll have more suggestions after that.

1. Access to the audio/video wires at the back of the built-in DVD Player. Mine just has a small hole where the wires come out. I couldn't change those if I wanted to.
2. Towel bar and toilet paper holder in the bathroom.
3. Less carpeting.
4. Door for those 3 openings in the kitchen slide next to the drawers
5. Drop down door under the sink.

Better decals ...had two other campers and never had a cracking or peeling off problem with those...my neighbor bought our2000 Trail-lite and the decals are still just fine...am waiting on email from Crossroads now about the problem...

cowboy_71, if your trailer is within the 2 year warranty period call them about the decals and stay on them until they replace them. Ours were replaced under the warranty but I just got the shaft on two problems on our trailer because we are less than 30 days out of warranty.

Thanks for the advice Keith...but I thought they were covered under the 5yr structual warranty...guess we should know soon, they asked for pics to determine if it was a coverable problem...

My unit is more than 6 yrs old, so most of the things I didn't like have already been changed by me.

What I need now is maybe a self-cleaning exterior and automatic replacement of the aging slideout seals.

I would like better insulation and dual pane windows, but that would mean selling the unit and there is not a single floorplan today that is better than what I have now.

So far we've only spent one weekend in our 30SK so our list is small:
1. Better bed support
2. Easier battery access
3. Something different to cover the bottom of the trailer with access panels to tank sensors and the like.
4. Echoing others easier access to hot water bypass valves.

I can’t speak about other models, but our CF30SK could use more room in the bedroom. I realize that would entail adding a couple of feet to the overall length, but I think it would be worth it. I’d also like to see:

Power outlet inside the right side storage compartment.

Power adapter which will allow you to plug directly into the trailer, then plug a 15-20 amp cord into that without using that 50 amp power cable.

Water filter at city water inlet. (doing that myself.)

Split side storage doors that open out instead of up, and leave room to have the storage door AND the enterance door open and secured at the same time.

Battery mounted on slide out tray.

Toilet paper holder mounted securily in B/R

I’m sure there’s more, but that’s it for now. Overall, we really enjoy our 5er, and we realize that no one will ever make a trailer that is 100%; but we feel that CrossRoads comes closer than most.
