new flooring

I think the carpet has seen its better days in our 2003 Cruiser. I want to put down a floating laminate but I am not sure how to do the slide. Right now there is about a 6 inch of carpet hanging off of the slide floor which lays flat when the slide is out. I am sure someone has replaced the carpet before so how did you handle the flap of carpet? Thanks.

I haven't had to do it on ours --yet, but here is a few links to others that have tackled it.
Laminate Wood Flooring
I hate carpet!
Cedar lining?

Thanks. I did not really see much about flooring on the slide but we will make it work. Another question: under the carpet on my slide is just that black woven geotextile fabric. Should I put down an underlayment between that any any flooring?

You tube has quite a few videos for putting laminate down in campers.
