I am planning to add an AC. Today I was able to fish the wire to the bedroom vent. I plan to run it seperate from the 30amp, but did get the wire all the way to the power center, so I could upgrade to 50amp. If I keep it seperate, I can add a small breaker and run cord out the same hole as the 30amp cord. I will have to move the tv antenna, but that does'nt appear to be a problem. I am considering the Coleman Mach 8 cub 9200 btu. Anything I'm not thinking of ?
IMHO,
you just don't switch to 50 amp because most rv parks are set up to handle the SPLIT systems in most rv's ,,,
I would look closely at the wiring, the inverter, the starting load, and continuous load... but in the south I think it should be against the law to sell an rv without two (or three) ac's

That's why I was planning to run it seperate. We often camp where there are few, if any 50amp spaces. They always have 30/20 though.
Wiring is done, antenna is moved. Found a Coleman Mach 3 new at a RV Dealer not to far away for 489+tax, complete upper, lower, and seal. Hope to get it on in a few days, With the help of a friend.
Good luck with the install and let us know how it goes.

AC install is complete! It took longer to remove the vent, and clean the old caulking off, than to install the AC. The install was incredibly easy, and took 20 minutes. I originally plan to use a Coleman Cub 9200btu, but got a deal on a Coleman Mach 3 13500btu. I'm pretty sure my Fifth wheel will be cold this summer.
