Thermostat Upgrade Zinger 328SB

Looking to upgrade the thermostat to something backlit and digital.
What do you all recommend?
What have you upgraded to?

Thermostat Upgrade Zinger 328SB

Bump

I have looked at this http://www.loveyourrv.com/hunter-429...ostat-install/ tutorial, but I'm unsure if I need to add the manual fan switch.

I looked into it pretty extensively and found you had to have power, either batteries or wired and decided the complications weren't worth it. You can google people's solutions for a suitable electronic thermostats if you want to do it.

I have actually done this mod on two of our trailers. The first time I used the hunter thermostat that is listed in your link. This last time I wanted something with a little more control so I used the Honeywell RTHL2310B. Here is a picture of the one in my current unit and a link to installing this thermostat.

Here is another link to a similar mod. I hope these help you out.

The ones I looked at needed power for the light and electronics. Also electronics can fail while the old mechanical ones almost never fail. Mostly I didn't want to fool with the power issues. If you are full time and/or don't mind replacing batteries it would probably be OK. I just didn't see the benefits as worth it. I was mainly interested in the screen light.
