<div id="post_message_136294">Hey Gang

I'm looking to buy a Fifth Wheel andhave it narrowed down between

Crossroads Cruiser and PrimeTime Crusader. What I find appealing about

crossroads is the 2 year warranty plus 5 year strutural warranty.
I'm comparing

simliar models. PT 260rld and crusier 27rlx. Both about the same weight and

size.

I have read alot of good reviews about both, but havenot yet physicialy been in either yet.

For those of

you that my have seen or owned both I would apreciate your observations and

comments

Thanks
Gary

In all our travels I have never heard of or seen the primetime unit you are speaking of. Jb

The Prime Time Manufacturing units are nice but have not been out long enough for good feedback on them. The one thing that would kill them for us is no dual pane window option. I guess time will tell how they hold up. You will find more information on them at their web site and a search on rv.net.

As Keith mentioned, you can't get DP windows on the Primetime nor 50 amp service on the smaller model you are considering. The Primetime unit does have several newer features, it has the Dometic ducted return air for the A/C which is quieter and supposed to be slightly more efficient than the standard Dometic units. It is also the first brand to use SchwinTek InWall slide out mechanism for all slide outs. Other brands use them for small slide outs like the bedroom, but Primetime uses them in the main slides as well. This system is supposed to save weight, but if so, it doesn't seem to have much impact in the total weight. The system uses less DC power and is supposed to be safer. Time will tell if it can handle the weight of a big slide out. SchwinTek was recently purchased by Lippert Components and there are several nice videos on Lippert's web site about the slide out system. Primetime is a relatively new division of Forest River.
