Just purchased 2008 30sk and have a question to the group. The hot water heater when on propane keeps firing very frequently(15minutes) when flip over to electric it seems to click every 5 minutes. Any ideas? Thx Bill

The only thing I can think is to check and see what temperature you have it set at. Possibly if set too high this may happen as it wants to keep the water at the high setting. Just a guess!

This may sound stupid but did someone turn the valves to the winterized positon and it is dry?
Another question, is it heating the water?
It should go for hours without restarting if the water is not beingused.
Enjoy your new to you rig.

I agree with Dennis....Check for water and if you are sure the tank is full then you may have a circuit board issue. Your model and mine does not have an adjustable thermostat. They are factory set for about 140 dgs. Mine (either on gas or electric) will go at least 4-5 hours without cycling.

Well, if you never hear back you don't know if you helped and it doesn't help anyone else either.
Oh well

I am a little late seeing this, but I have some suggestions.
On my 2006 Cruiser at least, there is an inline fuse type thing in a clear tube in one of the wires to the heater.
Secondly, I have had the same problem numerous times and I rake all the wire loose from the circuit board and clean them with a little sand paper. This includes the 2 white wire plugs that go intro the circuit board.
I am trying a dielectric grease on the terminals, to see if I can keep them clean longer.

It could be the thermostat & eco parts the 4 wires go to right above the gas valve. You tube has a video how to diagnose problems with water heater. Just so happens this week I have been having a problem getting our Attwood 10 gal DSI to light on gas. I changed out the circuit board and it solved the problem. I found one for 95.00 on ebay.

Sorry I never got back. We are in Southern Calif. and have talked to a number of Cruiser owners and they all have the same issue. It's the way it is with the heater and you have to adjust with regulating the heat. We changed the taps in the shower with a shower/tub taps and it seems to help. Overall we like the cruiser and feel we got good value on our purchase. Thx Bill
