Do the axles have to show a failure to get them replaced or are they replacing all axles like a recall as they are clearly undersized?
We don't put a lot of miles on and I am worried about the issues you are having in a year or 2!

CR isn't admitting to anything but I heard that starting 2014 the trailers are equipped with heavier axles. Your best bet is to go under the trailer and look at the inner part of your tire tread on your rear axle. My front axle was fine. My rear tires were almost bald from the inner edge to the first groove. My brother followed me before and said my rear tires looked like they were toeing out but we just thought it was an optical illusion. Now I know it wasn't. I believe that because of the spread axle more trailer weight is on the rear than the front. I think that's what caused my rear bearings to fail with less than 5000 miles on it. If you can find a scale to weigh each axle you would know for sure. Most public scales will only give total trailer weight.

I also have just noticed an issue with my drivers rear tire on my 2013 sunset trail 26bh. The difference though is the inner side of the tire is wearing vs what seems to be more common the outside. Any suggestions of who to call at CR?
Not sure if this is related but I did notice a small seepage of grease from the cap on the rim. When I pulled the cap to inspect where the grease was from it seems to have leaked from the cavity where the grease nipple is. I have never added any grease.
These axles seems to be a headache, I will start with my dealer tomorrow, but my expereince is not good with them so any ideas or help is welcome. I was thinking of rotating the tires but scared I might just ruin 2 tires vs the 1...

Here is the picture from where the grease seems to be coming from, I removed the rubber cap to expose the grease nipple inside that area it was full of grease!!. Is it normal to have grease in this housing looks like a overflow area to me if the factory over injected the grease??.

The factory will not grease the hubs , they only install per greased bearings . The dealer pumped it in , as mine did and I had 1 hub doing the same thing , I put a piece of napkin around the grease cap and re installed the cap. seemed to stop the grease over flow.

Thanks for the tip. I was thinking of also cleaning all that extra grease out of that area. Now my bigger question is this excessive tire wear on the left rear tire on the inside.

My rear tires are both worn on the inside. Driver side a little more than pass. side. My pass. side rear bearings are the ones that failed. I'm away until later this week but when I get home I'll give you the name of my CR contact. In the mean time try to find a way to weigh each axle or better yet each wheel. It will help your case.

Any chance you have that contact?...once bearings were replaced did that solve your inside wear issue?

Still not home. Staying til Tuesday. Replacing bearings ? My axle failed on the pa turnpike. I had to get it towed and paid for a new axle. Rear Tires are still leaning so now they are replacing both axles and springs with heavier versions. I think they are only doing it because I promised to show up at every RV show and explain my situation to perspective customers. My dealer is handling all communication now. When I get home I will call them and ask for the contact.

Axles are too light. they are 5200 lb. and the empty trailer is about 9700, loaded about 12,500, see the problem? A fellow rv'er followed me, 2012 Cruiser 335SS, and said the tires were rolling toed out at the bottom, axles too light.
To the best of my knowledge Crossroads could not care less and are letting the owners take care of the problem.

They are overloaded, 5200 lb axles on a loaded trailer weight of 12500.
Who was the brilliant engineer who did this? I have a 2012 Cruiser 335SS.
I would like to see a lawsuit to force CR to make a recall and replace the axles

I noticed today that the drivers side front tire is wearing oddly. The other 4 seem to be fine. My TT has 4400 lb axles as well. Which tire exactly was wearing on your rig.

Wow Bert. You have 5 tires. Are you sure you don't have a 5th Wheel??

I met another camper years ago and he swore by these. He was a full timer that travels the whole country.

That company is about 15 miles south of me and have heard nothing but great things about them from the trucking community....
And actually the concept 'makes sense'..
so we went to try them on my 2005 Ford Excursion with larger tires and really didn't notice a difference... but they gave me a no questions asked warranty so returned them after a couple of weeks...

I was just at the dealer picking mine up for final warranty tweaks and they had the same model as mine on the lot, just the 2014 model year with new tan front version with darker interior. I checked and it had the newer wire slide mechanism (no Schwintek), but still had the 3500 lb Lippert axles. Not smart for a trailer with a GVWR of 7667 lbs to have axles under rated by 667 lbs. Hopefully mine will hold up since I don't load it that heavy.
While I was there I measured my tongue weight too and with only 1 full and one 1/2 full propane tank and battery the tongue weight was 170 lbs heavier than the brochure listed it as. It's amazing how the manufacturers havent been sued & get away with providing such misleading information and borderline rated equipment to unknowing customers.
