BH sofa in 2012 Sunset Trail

I am a new owner of a 2012 sunset trail reserve BH. We looked at one that had 2 folding chair beds in BH but ours has a flip down sofa which is useless for sleeping. I liked the chairs and would like to take our sofa out and replace it with them. Does anyone know what is under that sofa? I have been to so many sites trying to find out. Its enclosed in wood so impossible to see anything without taking it out.

jellybean224,

I snapped so photos behind our sofa in our 2013 300BH. I can't upload even low resolution pictures so i'll have to talk to a moderator.
Hard to see anyways in the pictures but the sofa sits on a wood deck, so there is no frame and does not go all the way to the floor, so if your BH is setup the same way, the slide unfortunately doesn't go all the way to the floor, so essential you have a raised deck there instead of the floor that is even with the trailer floor.

How to add photos to a post
  • Click reply and scroll down to bottom of text box.
  • Click "go advanced" add text to message window and then scroll down.
  • Click "Manage attachments" A separate window will pop up.
  • Click "browse" Then select the file to be uploaded. Be sure that the photo is appropriately sized. 800 x 600 pixels (or smaller) and no more than 400K is recommended. Forums software will automatically reduce the size, but smaller size photos will upload much faster. You may select several photos to upload at the same time by repeating the last step.
  • Click "Upload" After pics have loaded close the pop-up window
  • Click "submit reply" to mount the text of your message - photos will automatically appear at the bottom of your post.

Anyways, here's the photos behind and under the rear sofa in my 300BH. I guess I should say Bunkhouse sofa, because, all sofa's are "rear" sofas..chuckle chuckle.

Hard to see, but the best way to describe it is the "floor" of the slideout isnt higher than the trailer floor. Not sure if it is just boxed in and you can remove it. I bet a call to Crossroads for the blueprint would solve the riddle.

Your right, what was I thinking...well maybe they have a photo of the whiteboard drawing they were using to build them that day.

Yes, we checked into it more this weekend and yes it looks like the sofa platform is too much a part of the slide and not a possibility of removing. Thanx all who responded

I would think that it was placed in there after the slide was built. So that makes me think it shouldn't be that difficult to remove.
Having never seen it in person, that is just my opinion.
