I have a new 2012 ST30RK and I cannot get the satellite to work if I have the cable hooked into the port on the side of the camper. For it to work I have to have the cable run directly to the reciever. The tv works ok on the trailer ant.

I had to undo the white coax behind the cable switch plate above the TVand connect direct to the satellite receiver on our 2011 ST29BH.The 3-wayswitch between cable/sat/antennae didn't let the sat signal through.

Big Smokey you have to bypass your antenna/cable booster in your trailer for satellite reception. The booster interferes with the signal.

Most rigs have separatejacks for cable and satellite, if you only have one you haveto connect directly to the receiver. You could install another cable, but I connect directly to the receiver, eliminating two additional connecting points. I actually found better reception when using campground cable service if I connect to the satellite jacks instead of the TV cable/antenna jack.

Thank you all, it sounds like it just needs its own cable and not the one on the camper for the antena. I will give it it's own separate cable.
