Slide Outs on Sunset Trail
Just a tip I learned and thankfully I did. Im getting ready to go on a trip and just the other day I watched a maintenance video on the Accu-Slide system used on various RV manufactures. The video showed how to adjust tension on the cable system to prevent excess strain on the motor.
I decided what the heck, I'll check mine prior to going on the road. Shocking.... my cables were so loose you could have played jump rope. This is a six month old TT, been used maybe 6 times.
After adjusting the cables per the instructions on the video I watched the cable system work. I notices the motor pulling out when the motor started. I removed the access panel and low and behold, only 2 bolts out of six were installed, and those two were loose. I've tightened the loose bolts, replaced the other four, checked the other slide (which was installed and adjusted correctly) and my slides work like a dream, smooth, quite and close tight.
Just thought I would share, if you suspect issues with your slides look at the cables when the slide is closed, thats when they are the easiest to see.
