If your looking for brakes that you dont have to adjust, maybe try the Dexter self adjusting brakes.

I put the self adjustingDexters on my TT last spring and I love them. They work great and do adjust themselves just like they are supposed to.

I did it on my cardinal The best thing i have ever done. I can stop better with the trailer then with out. I think it was around 1500 for the stuff. I did it my self. Not to bad to do it is all bolt on parts I bought a Max brake controler at the same time and the combo works super. and the Pads are warranty for life. but I think they will last forever. the hardest part was running the brake lines. you will need a flair tool a good one that will do steel lines.

April of 2010traded fora 30skp. Could never get the brakes to work as I though they should. Maybe expected to much for that heavy a trailer. Installed disk brakes and as others have said best thing I everdone tomy fifth wheel. Stopping power is so much greater. No more adjusting brakes.Did all work myself, $1220. Several web sites have complete kits, I used Kodiak parts and Brakerite actuator, and lines made local.

I had the same thing I turned the controler up to get it to stop then wore out the brakes in one season The disk should be standard on any unit over 14k in my opion. just for safety raesons.
