I use mine over half of the time while camping.
Not a problem at all with storage. It goes into a plastic tray and sits in the cargo area, pack and play area of our trailer.
Honestly, it doesn't get that dirty that it needs to be cleaned perfect after every use. I just scrape the grate and give it a quick wipe at the end of each weekend use.

X2 we have a shallow Rubbermaid type bin that the grill and utensils fit into for storage. The grill itself is nothing to brag about but it's too dang convenient with the bumper mount and quick connect to try anything else.
