Just purchased the CR29SI

Well, my wife and I are new here so I thought we would introduce ourselves. My name is Preston and My wifes name is Beth.

We just purchased our 2019 Cruiser Aire CR29SI and will be picking it up this Tuesday the 16th. We are very excited however I after signing the contract I delved deep into reviews on the Manufacturer and have not found a lot of good reviews.

I would love some input from other owners here to set my mind at ease a little so feel free to reply with your thought and experiences. I would love to hear them.

Yes I should have done more research before purchasing but we liked the floor plan so much and going from a 16' sanoma rto a 33' fifth wheel made us feel like Kings and Queens lol.

Our first trip out will be the first of next month for a weekend. Glad to be here and hope to make some fellow RV friends..

Thanks and happy RV'ing

Welcome aboard and congrats on the new rig.
You have to remember---problems will get more complaints/posts then no problems.
I recommend you do a very good and complete PDI before accepting the new rig. If you don't have a PDI list, there is one in our document section, or you can take a look at this one and download it if like.
Doug's RV Checklist Page

Remember, you are the one in control now. After you take delivery it could be a whole different story.
So make sure everything works, and you understand how it works before you accept.

Welcome from Mo. As Lloyd said do a good PDI. Not only let them tell you how it works ask them to show you. You had another camper so you already are familiar with the basics but the new one may not operate quite the same way.
As far as reviews some have legitimate complaints and others just like to complain. Take them with a grain of salt.

Enjoy your new camper and remember to have fun. Thats why you bought it!

Welcome to the forum from NC. All units can have small problems or none at all. Like said only complaints usually get the most attention. Ours is smaller but we love ours. I agree go through the PDI and have them to show you not only the stove, oven, fridge, heat, air, water, etc. but have them check everything. When we bought ours new I had 18 years of camping RV experience with different units. The one thing I didn’t do was roll the awning out all the way. We have two slides and didn’t realize until I got home that the awning when extended pressed down onto the kitchen slide. Long story they had installed the wrong awning. Anyway, make them show you everything and don’t let them rush you through the PDI check.

Hahahaha. Not much of a drinker but have not ruled that one out lol. Actually if I was to drink I would probably decide to camp out at the gate or something stupid like that after I had a few!!

Well after a thorough personal inspection we found quiet a few issues. All were mostly cosmetic and were fixed on the spot. The only item that still need attention are the trailer brakes. They work but not like they should. They are going to fix them this Monday but I chose to take it camping this weekend just 30 miles from the dealer at Tyler State Park. Will drop it off after the trip.

They had 4 service people fixing this and that and jumped on every thing we found. The service was great. The PDI we downloaded was awesome and we did everything on it. We left feeling very confident in our purchase and wanted to thank all of you who chimed in for the advice.

I added a few pictures.. Well 1 extra snuck in there.

Congrats on the new purchase. Identical rig and truck to mine, even the same years. You'll find the 6.7 Cummins has absolutely no problem pulling that thing even on the steep climbs. Hopefully you get many years of enjoyment out of it.
Doug

Oops, a closer look appears as though you're running the Hemi in your truck, not the diesel. I'm sure the Hemi will do fine.

Glad you got to inspect everything and made them go through everything. It just makes you feel more confident and satisfied. Have a great first trip. Don’t forget the s’mores.

Ted, I don't think Texans are allowed to have s'mores.

That's the one my parents just bought. It is awesome and we all really like it.
Congrats
I can point you to bad reviews on any mfg out there. If we went off the reviews we wouldn't have a TT period.

Enjoy it.

How did you like Tyler SP? Wife and went there a few years ago. Liked the park, but had a hard time getting parked, ended up hitting on of those big pieces of rock with my fender.

Welcome and congrats on the new camper! Looks great and nice match with truck. Good idea to camp nearby for a trial run too. Have fun and keep the ac on high!

We leave tomorrow (Friday) so can't say yet.. We did get one of the few back in spots they have. I like the back in spots better than than the pull through due to your not right on the road this way.

I will post a few pictures and update after the camping trip. Thank you all for the warm welcome. See you soon
