Seems like we are constantly turning it off, defrosting and cleaning it, to keep it running at a constant temp. Otherwise the temp starts to creep up and it runs sooo loud .... Anyone?
was replaced last year, total new fridge!

Ruck,
Sorry to hear of your problems...I don't have an answer for you but hope you find some soon. I just wanted you to know it was a pleasure to meet you and Linda and I are hoping to make the Texas Rally next year to meet some more of our fine friends from Texas.
Good luck,
Jim

Is your fridge in the slide? If so, might be worth a call to Randy at the shop as I have heard they had some issues with some of fridges in the cruiser slide outs due to lack of air-flow around the unit. Might be a long shot, but who knows...

Thanks gossamar. Yes fridge in slide, and have been at service center for two days now, in fact am now across the street, until tomarrow, then off to Mo. EVERYTHING has been addressed and issues remedied, much to Mary's and my satisfaction!!! As always Randy and crew were AWSOME!! Cannot heap the praise high enough! That's why I like Crossroads so much, and I reckon the service center is what keeps customers!! It's like a NEW RV here. Fridge issue was addressed and hopefully taken care of. All y'all take care now, y'hear?

;od question, I didn't expound did I? Fridge was running LOUDLY and had to be defrosted a lot, they (Service Center) found a fan that had the screws over tourqued and stripped, (read Camping World)causing the fan to fall off the back of fridge, making the noise, CR Service Center fixed problem, I didn't personally witness the fix, so ...

Ruck,
Can you tell me what was the issue with your fridge. I am having the same problem but camping world can't seem to find the problem. Maybe if I know what your people did to fix your's, it might work on mine.
Thanks.

When I picked up my new Rushmore Friday, I noticed two of the black 4 door refridgerators in their shop. They say they are problematic. He also said that they remove the big side window to get it out of the unit. I took a look at the back side of the ones in the shop and to combat the heat buildup, they have installed two (or more) electric fans. They are the same 4" square fans you see in a computer case. These fans make noise too and really do not feel that they can move enough CFM of air to amount to anything... (IMHO)

Originally, the first fridge was not installed correctly, not enough space around and not enough insulation, etc... pulled the fridge out through the door, took jambs off, not through window as first thought. Second time fridge was not working right, the flap that seperates the two doors was not working correctly, replaced and voila, lastly the fan, as posted. Now runs quieter and don't seem to have to defrost quite as often and seems to run steady at 33 - 34 degrees.

Hello Ruck, long time since my last log on the forum.
When I bought my 34SB last year, the dealer modified the way theventilation was done behind the fridge. They told me they were doing this to all fridges in slide out. With the mod the fan does not have to run as much.
They still had to change the fridge but had no problem since.
Hope your problems were solved.
Martin
