Question 2nd AC Install???

I have a 50 amp electrical system on a Zinger destination trailer. It only came with one AC unit. I want to install a second unit in the master bedroom. I removed the trim from the vent in the bedroom hoping to see electrical wiring, but there was none. If the camper can handle the load of 2 AC units, would the circuit breaker panel in the camper have a separate breaker for the additional AC?

Any thoughts or recommendations on how to install a second unit or alternative means to cool the master bedroom?

dh

I pulled a 2013 Zinger brochure for your camper and the only option for the AC was a 15000 in place of the 13500. Being a "destination trailer " does it have a regular water heater or a larger capacity electric one? Could not find that in the brochure but remember some destination trailers have like a 20 gal.. or so electric water heater.

As for the second air first look at the load in the power center to see if you have or could add a 20 amp breaker.

Where there is a will there is a way. Just research the options.

It has a 10 gallon water heater that is dual gas/electric. I would have to take the cover off the circuit breaker panel to look behind it to see if another breaker slot is even an option. Right now the panel looks full with no other CB spots available.

Not exactly sure how it was done as the dealer did it for a friend of mine, but he had a second one put in the bedroom, and it was installed so that the 110 for it exited out a cellar door and he plugged that into the umbilical pole as most have 110 standard, 30amp, and 50amp plugs. I have a feeling it used a 30amp plug, but not sure.
