We probably don't have the oldest Cruiser around, but we have owned our CF27RL since the spring of 2003.
We purchased the trailer after seeing one a friend had bought. We traded a 2001 Shasta that we though we loved until we got into the front beadroom of the Cruiser.
We are weekend campers, usually with the family near a lake for waterskiing. Our older daughter's family is normally 3 but can grow to4 if the step-son isvisiting. We have slept all 7 of us in the camper at times by putting the small 2 boys on the floor. They are getting older now so they are about to be evicted to their tent!
We have had very few problems in the nearly 6 years of ownership. We did have some of the badly aligned axles which were replaced after the warranty had run out. Thanks Cruiser! The frig had the "fix" kit installed then the entire cooling unit replaced after it ruptured 4 months later. We were involved with the microwave control recall also. All of these issues were taken care of in a timely and acceptable manner.
We wish we would have known to get the 15,000 btu AC instead of the 13,500! It won't quite keep up sometimes in July and August if we can't get under a shade tree in the campground.
We will probably need to replace tires this year as they are starting to show weather cracking and wear from the original axles, but I feel they have lasted very well. I will probably opt for some LT tires instead of Chineese trailer tires.
This is our 3rd 5th wheel and 4th camper overall. Bottom line I will give the '03 Cruiser a 9.5 out of 10. If they had recommended the larger AC I would give it a 10 for value.
Hope this will help someone looking at Cruisers.Edited by: crossroadsrv
