I see the bolt on hitches used all the time but never seen one used for a large RV (usually for U-hauls or small utility trailers). That's not to say you couldn't but I don't know the weight ratings. You also need to consider the weight ratings for your vehicle.
Are you talking about bolting it on the tow vehicle or on the Rv? If on the Rv I know that it is not recommended by Crossroads and Lippert if you are using it for a bike rack although I've seen many Rv's with the bike rack mounted that way.

If you put one on a new Rv you most likely will void the frame warranty. If you read thru these posts you will see comments for and against. Best bet, call Lippert and ask. Since the Z1 is a lightweight camper, I have my doubts that the bumper is strong enough.

The bumper may flex too much with the weight and bouncing of the bikes. That is why I installed what I did - costs more but should handle the weight better.
