I replaced mine. It's a good mod. If you search you will find a link to it with pics.

That is good to know Lloyd. I am having the Never Fail Bushings installed in our new unit before we pick it up.

I believe in wet bolts. They are the best.

I'm getting ready to do the wet bolt kit. I've considered both, but going with the wet bolts to get the heavier shackles. I think either way, you can't go wrong and it is an improvement over stock.

I did a lot of research on both after market bushings prior to deciding which ones I wanted installed on our new unit. The Never Fails are newer than the Wet Bolt but so far have good reviews. What I did discover in researching is that most people that have had bushings wear out did not have their tires balanced. Those that did the bushings rather stock or after market lasted longer. Our two previous Crossroads units had the tires balanced and never had a bushing wear out. We are picking our unit up in Elkhart and I am going to take it and have the tires balanced before we even hit the road to bring it home.

Balancing is part of the life of the tire, When I had the last two sets replaced, I stood there and watch them. both times they went to put the tires on the trailer with out balancing them I made the balance them. I both cases they said they never balance trailer tires..

I had our original tires balance after one year. Ours is 6 years old and one of the original bushings (plastic) look ok, but if I am going to go to the trouble of checking all of them I am going to replace them. I just got new tires and they were balanced and filled with nitrogen.
Did you get the parts, wet bolt or bushings from Lippert?
Thanks

Last year after the rally I had Randy and the boys install the wet bolt kits on my unit. I had my annual inspection this week at my dealers and he said they needed next to nothing when he checked them. I only have about 2,000 miles on them so I'm not sure where that sits in terms of a break in period. I just felt it was better to do it now and not worry about a failure with the original ones somewhere down the road. I feel they are a good investment IMHO. Good luck however you decide to go.
Travel well,
Jim

I got my wet bolt kit from Trailair. When I looked for them now it brings me to Lippert, but I sure didn't pay as much as Lippert has them priced at.
