Question: Options when ordering a Sunset Trail Super Lite 270BH
Does anyone have any feedback on these options:
Extreme weather package: upgrade foil insulation and heated tank pads
2nd A/C in bedroom
2nd Skylight in kitchen
Fantastic fan with rain sensor (bed and/or bath)
Thank you!

^ This.
2nd skylight isn't a show stopper. Just something else to check for caulking deterioration and eventually you'll have to replace the skylight itself.
If it's already installed, OK. If not installed, I wouldn't pay extra for it.

1. Are you planning to camp in the winter?
2. If you get the 2nd AC unit, get the 50amp service. It will be much easier in the long run.
3. As stated earlier, one more leak point and eventually it too will crack and need maintenance.
4. Definitely get the fans in both, you won't regret that one.
Happy camping!

Thank you for the advice!
I should have also asked... are there any options I didn't mention here that I really should be adding?
Thanks again!

Whether or not you intend to do any winter camping should not influence your decision on the upgrade insulation package. These units don't have enough insulation in them to begin with. So no matter if you camp where it's hot or cold, get all the insulation that is offered. Like Frank stated, dual pane windows are nice. I wish I had them.

Just one additional comment on the Fantastic Vent -- in addition to the rain sensor, get the IR/RF remote control. This fan will then include reversible fan direction, speed control, etc., as have a wall mount.
It just makes things much easier.

Are vent covers over the fan vents an option?

Make sure you upgrade your mattress if you are going to use it a lot.

Turn on the TV and have them hook to a cable connection and make sure it works.

Vent covers are options. Sometimes in the deal with the dealer.

Everyone automatically equates option #1 with winter camping. I ordered my unit with the Extreme Weather package because we do a LOT of winter camping, but I what I never thought of was how much cooler the trailer stays in the summer because of the extra insulation. With the upgraded insulation I don't think I needed to spend the money on the 2nd A/C.

I don't doubt that the extreme package helps... come to south Texas in the summer time and tell me you don't need that 2nd AC unit.
Unfortunately, many of the places we've been to in the past 2 summers don't have large shade trees... a few years ago we had 59 days of +100 heat and 97-99 way too many times to count.
Here's proof
http://www.srh.noaa.gov/ewx/?n=100degreedays.htm
Keep in mind your AC unit can only cool to approx 20 degrees below the outside temp.
Better to have too much than not enough.
