New member with question 2015 crossroads cruiser 345bh - Heating Element
Hey guys, I'm extremely new to this group. I don't know if any of you have this model RV, but I am having a very hard time finding where the heating element is. It is the first thing I'm going to try and replace since my water has stopped being hot after a short period of time. Any help would be appreciated

The heating element will be screwed into the side of the water heater. Down next to the bottom.
Welcome aboard.

Welcome to the forum! The Suburban water heater in my Rockwood has a label next to the heating element.

You will need access to the back of the water heater. Find the brand of water heater you have then you can check the element and order the correct one.

Welcome to the forum. A lot of great info, experience, and advice on here. We’ve all been where you are so remember the only stupid question is the one you don’t ask.

If your water heater is dual gas and electric, it also can be used on propane gas.
How does it work on propane?
If you are using electric, and the water heater gets warm, then stops, it is not too likely that it is the element. The element is like a lightbulb, it is either good or it's not.
Both Dometic (Atwood) and Suburban have good troubleshooting sections in their service manuals, available on their websites.

If you have a Suburban water heater, the element is installed from the outside. Take a look at this video.

Ralphie I was waiting for you to answer the question above before I posted this...According to the size of your WH determines how much hot water you have to use and if you are just using electric it is SLOW to stay up to demand...The only reason I bring this up is because no one else did also not knowing if you are a fledgling camper or not...If the hot water lasts the same amount of time on electric or gas it is NOT your heating element, it is the size of your WH...
