Kitchen Sink Faucet

Our 2015 Rushmore kitchen sink faucet needs the pull-down sprayer either repaired or replaced. It has two modes of operation - a single stream or multi-stream spray. The button that switches it into multi-stream will no longer stay in that mode. Also, I have been unable to identify a tool for taking the end off to clean the screen. I cannot locate any markings on it to identify the manufacturer or model number.

Has anyone had the same problem? Anyone know the manufacturer or model?

I'll try to post a picture of it.

Thanks

You could go to one of the big box stores and get a replacement. Choose what you want and parts would be easier to get. You could also check E Trailer to see what they have.

I didn’t have same problem as you but I still had to take our end off to clean the screen. It was full of plastic cuttings during assembly. No tool included but I managed to get it off with a small flat screwdriver like the ones used for eye glasses. It was new so there was no calcium buildup.

Dagst1,

That solution is always available, but I was hoping for an easier solution.

Thanks

660catman,

I need to unscrew the bottom of the sprayer which has 5 evenly spaced holes around the outer perimeter. It looks like I need a tool with 5 prongs to mate up with the holes.

Did you unscrew the bottom with a small jeweler's screwdriver?

Different tap but still had 4 slots for proper tool. I used a very small flat screwdriver. If you have snap ring pliers that reach out that far you could use them too.

I found a somewhat generic spray head on Amazon that came with adapters so it could work with various faucets. Works fine.

Good to hear you have a fix. I take it you now have the proper tool to take screen off?

A tool was needed if I was to take apart the old spray head and attempt to fix it. Instead of doing this, I bought a new spray head that has a screen installed on the opposite end where it attaches to the hose. It's a combination rubber washer and screen.

Replacing a kitchen faucet is a DIY project that can refresh your kitchen's look and functionality. It typically involves disconnecting the old faucet, installing the new one, and ensuring proper sealing, with costs varying based on faucet type and brand, ranging from $100 to $500 or more.

Thanks for the info. After I replaced the faucet head, it started to "leak" small ball bearings under the sink. So I put a new faucet in back in February. Very easy to do.
