Chris1981, if your trailer is the same set up as mine then you have a TV and a fireplace in a bulkhead in the center of the trailer between the front bedroom and living area. They both can be rotated separately between bedroom and living area. The plug for the fireplace is fished down through a hole to a lower receptacle. (this is the one I believe you are talking about). This is a 110vAC. If you are getting 38v on your multimeter there is something definitely wrong here.

Possibly a loose wire at the plug or along the line to it or maybe the multimeter is the cause. As I stated in an earlier post, I'm not an electrician.

Lloyd - Don't know if this question was posted in another forum but had to add my two cents here.

Yes that’s right. It sounds like it’s the same. On that lower plug I only get 38volts. I ran an extension cord to the fireplace and the fireplace works perfect. All other plugs and lights work perfect . No other issues with the electrical.

Had a similar experience with the outlets in my shop. Had to trace the wire back to another outlet and it was bad replaced it and the low voltage went away. It may also be that outlet is faulty. Maybe try replacing it with a new one they are pretty cheep.

I just read your other post regarding this.
If you got your question answered, please let us know the results. It is confusing and redundant to post the same question on two different threads.
Your problem probably relates to the switch or relay to toggle the water heater and fireplace. They cannot run at the same time, and there is a switch to choose one or the other.

The members here have posted several different possible things to check. What have you done so that we can try to further help. Also because you do not get the results/answers that you want there is no need to start two different posts.

Please try to be civil in your responses - we are trying to help. If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to PM me.

As you can tell the posts have 2 different titles. But turned into the same. I asked for a wiring diagram in one post and it turned into me telling what problem I am having. So I really don’t know what the big deal is. If you see a post it don’t mean you have to read it or comment on it. I don’t understand what the problem is here!!!!! How do I delete a post. So I make you all happy again.
