My waist tank monitor gauges have work flawlessly on my black/gallery/gray. I have never had a problem except an occasional plug up. Quick flushes solve this on the black tank and it goes to working again. One weekend a month ago the black tank stop reading all together. Dead.

So one day i felt like taking a peak under the belly cover to see what i am up against, Bad wire, bad resisters, bad ground.. Had to be something.. After i fought with laying on the ground trying to get the self tapping screws out of the belly cover i pulled it back. And behold the wires fell out at me. They appear cut? How can that be? The screws of the belly cover were so tight/rusty and squeaky. I thought i was going to break them off.

Wired everything back up and everything is working again.. Reinstalled the belly cover and now i am confused. Nobody removed my belly cover to do this to me.. I don't believe that. I think the wires were hanging on by a strand and finally broke free. It appears there is a tie wrap there and when the factory cut the extra off the tie wrap they snipped the wires. ?

I can believe one may have been cut that way but all of them? You must have big mice in NY.

Small mice with BIG SNIPS.. lol..

The manual also states that the tanks sensor grounds. (white) needs to be connected to the monitor ground. But that is not how they installed it. All the gounds were attached to the chassis. And the monitor was also attached to the chassis.

White(Ground) should be connected to all tanks and then run to the monitor. (wasn't so)
Blue is Fresh water level signal to monitor (ok)
Brown is Black tank level signal to monitor (ok)
Grey is Grey tank level signal to monitor (ok)
Black is Galley tank level signal to monitor (ok)

There was a bit of color change at the tank from the resister pig tail. But it was easily read.

I just could not believe the sketchy workmanship of the wire mess under there. The wires practically fell at me once i removed the underbelly. Plus there was 110 voltage wire just laying on the belly cover.. Nothing was secured. I really didn't mess with anything except get it hooked back up. But i had to call my dad over to look at the mess. He couldn't believe it also.. Note, the camper has never been touched by anyone except me. And i haven't had a lick of trouble with it until this wire dilemma and the 30main/20ac circuit breaker separation mod..
