2012 cruiser with the original battery. When not connected to shore power, (between trips) the battery will be completely dead within two weeks of non use. HAve made sure the battery water is at the correct level, and the converter is supplying a charging voltage to the battery. The terminals are clean and tight. Battery is clean and looks brand new (yea I know that doesn't mean squat)
The battery in the springdale that we traded in would still have power left in it after 30 days. I do realize that the gas detector is on, and the Cruiser also has a Digital stereo (power required for the memory) the springdale didn't have, and also has intellijacks (in standby mode) and a digital thermostat.

Is it normal for the battery to go that quick with theseextra items? Or do you guys think my Battery is going south.

Told the wife the easiest way to solve the problem was to camp every weekend

Thanks guys!!

I would say normal because of the items you mentioned. If you don't want to keep it plugged into shore power then you may want to install a battery disconnect to be shut off during idle time. I am now using a low amp battery tender (charger) on ours rather than leaving it plugged in all the time.
Our unit is an 06 with original batteries.

I also agree with Dennis and ditto his setup. Except I'm on my second battery with my 06.

Same here. Dead in about two weeks. Now we disconnect the battery via the swith that we installed (photo) or clip on a Battery Minder. Not only will the Battery Minder keep the battery charged but your battery will last longer. <a href="http://batteryminders.com/store.php?spawner=ic&#111;n_home&amp;&amp;app=rvWe %20also%20switch%20off%20the%20landing%20gear%20un til%20we%20are%20ready%20touse%20it.%20Imagine%20t he%20neighbor%20kids%20raising%20it%20and%20crushi ng%20your%20rear%20stabilizers,jamming%20the%20lan ding%20gear%20or%20injuring%20themselves." target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://batteryminders.com/store.php?spawner=icon_home&amp;&amp;app=rv

<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">We also switch off the landing gear until we are ready to
use it. Imagine the neighbor kids raising it and crushing your rear stabilizers,
jamming the landing gear or injuring themselves.</span>[/i]<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"><?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /></span>[/i]

Think about it, say you are using .5 amp---for 24 hours that is 12 amp hours by10 days =120 amp hours just about enough to run a typical battery down. Mine , if I leave it connected will last for about a week to 10 days. All of those little devices add up--bigger newer trailer more things to keep running, battery won't stay charged as long. Put a disconnect switch in, use it and turn everything off battery will stay charged up for a month, or more.
