I used mine for a nightlite but it kept burning out...got tired of that...so we purchased some LED portables that are motion activated...6 LED lights, 3 AAA batteries, last forever...love them and they are bright

I went to autozone and bought a LED flat light bulb made with several rows of leds mounted on small flat board. It comes with several different adapters to fit different sockets. I believe I paid 14.00. Puts out a lot more light than the original bulb and a lot less heat.
they now have under cabinet strip led lights with 3m tape to put anywhere and they are 12volt and use next to no energy. just installed them under kitchen cabinets in the house and plan to do similar in the trailer once the warranty runs out...
I have a little 110 v. fluorescent fixture about five inches long we used to use beside the bed in something we had. Now I plug it into the socket under the cabinet beside the range hood. It helps that dark corner. LRD's would probably be better, but I already had this laying around.
I just replaced my range hood light with this LED and it made a world of difference. In fact I replaced all the 921"s with these LED's. The light level is much brighter and much less heat from the bulbs.
