We have been looking for 5th wheels and have fallen in love with the CrossroadS Cruiser especially and the Patriot to a lesser extent. We really like everything about the CF31LK with the rear entry. Our main concern is lack of access to the bathroom with the slide all the way in.The Patriot CF305SK mid entry is nice, but having the one recliner right next to the TV concerns us. Both have pros and cons as with anything. Any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated. We currently have a 28' Jayco TT and we pull with a 3500 Chevy Duramax. We are limited in length(preferably under 35') so we can continue to park at home.

Having had a rear entry 5th wheel I just hated it. Everyone crosses in front of the recliners to enter and leave the RV. Looked good on paper and when I looked at it at the RV show. But in real life I truly disliked it.
My '13 Patriot 335ss has the recliner next to the tv. The tv pulls out and turns so my view is real good. Check it out in person at a dealer to satisfy your interest in both.
By the way I had my Patriot out twice and just love it. Only a few minor issues.
Check out reviews of Crossroads RV's here. http://www.rv-coach.com/rv/rating/ra...v_results.html
Best of luck with whatever choice you make.

We really like our 2009 Cruiser. The floor plan is the reason we bought it, I feel its the perfect family 5ver. We are going on our 2nd year with this trailer and have only had one issue that Crossroads took very good care of us. You will get a wide range of good and bad experiences on here.
Welcome to the forum and good luck on your decision

We are on our second cf30skp. It is the earlier version of the 305p. TV viewing isnt really a problem. TV swings out so both chairs can view. Best floorplan we believe.

We have the CF305SK and every time I walk in I say we couldn't have picked a more ideal floor plan. We have the optional Euro recliner chairs which I feel are poor quality for what you pay extra but I sit in the one closest to the tv and yes it is a little close but I deal with it. I actually wish the TV was a bit smaller especially since it is larger than any of the TV's in our 2 story house. The bed is a little tight on the closet side but I guess you have to expect this when you want all of the conveniences and have limited space to fit them in. Had a few quality issues but the folks at CR in Topeka IN are the best in the industry in resolving problems. The fact that you are in CO you hopefully have a dealer with a good sevice reputation as there more than likely will be some quality control issues that have to be dealt with. Hope this info helps.

Just curious, can you imagine pulling that trailer with an F150? It's being done.

We took delivery of an SK 305 in March and have used it once. We pull the recliners out in front of the couch for TV viewing, its not a good angle otherwise. I put glides on the recliner legs so they are pretty easy to move.Be advised that you have to rearrange the recliners for the slides to close, and that's a pain. You can access the kitchen, dinette, and bathroom with all of the slides in, so it' great for picnicking. I'm thinking of getting rid of the sofa and moving two lazy boy recliners to that spot. There are just two of us and we don't do sleepovers.

We have a 305SK Patriot,it is a 2013. Before this unit we owned a 2007, 30SK. We liked the 30SK floorplan so much when we bought our new 5er we got the same floorplan, with a few more bells & whistles. Find a floorplan that fits your needs and you will be happy with your camper. Happy hunting, and welcome to the forum.

We bought two lazy-boy recliners for the camper. Lazy-boy has one that measures 29" wide. Fits great with the slides closed.

When on extended stays I switch the recliners and the couch. But on a weekend trip I leave them .

I can't speak to the newer ones, but I recently bought a used 07 Cruiser 30QB and I absolutely love it. This fiver replaces a 2011 Blue Ridge 3705BH which wasa really nice fifth wheel, but was more than we really needed. This 07 Cruiser fits us to a tee. The one feature that sticks out in my mind that elevates it above other campers in it's price rangeis the marine grade plywood flooring. That isn't something you see in many campers. Most of them have OSB floors. Every time we take this Cruiser out, I like it even more. Some on here say that Crossroads isn't building the same quality campers they used to. I don't know if they are or they aren't, but I do know that the 07 I have is a dandy.

I like the one I have. Especially the Patriot edition. Every time we go looking and see something that's comparable or a bit larger I start seeing all the things we have now that are options on other brands. Trail-Air suspension and hitch, Intellijacks( I don't know about that being a plus), 10gal WH, electric rear jack, electric awning, remote control, dinette with 4 chairs, 50a service and set up for dual AC's, one thermostat for both ac's and heater, E-Range 16" tires, real queen size bed, and the list goes on. My DW hasn't even managed to fill all the compartments, YET. We've had our problems but they have been ironed out. I have a month left on warranty and the dealer just checked it over and found nothing wrong anywhere. That's so if there was a problem it could be taken care of.
I found I really like the rear entry as it doesn't put a door in the middle of the living space/kitchen. The rockers they had in there I took out and put in a small desk for computers, etc. I wanted the Euro style but all I can find are very expensive and from what I've seen the OEM ones are problematic. Oh well. The couch while it makes a bed is poorly designed and has a crossrail about the middle of your back. So I've been told.

Our 30SKP is the best 5th wheel we've owned of the 4.
About the only time we even watch the TV in the living area is if it is really raining or there is a race on that we don't want to miss.
Like others, we just pull the chair closest to the TV over by the dining table.
As for the rear entry, we had one. It was a real pain around here as a lot of the sites are not level front to back. The steps were never the right distance from the ground for the first step! We also found it necessary to put speakers at the extreme rear of the trailer in order to be able to hear the TV while the AC was running otherwise the entire campground could hear the program! With the center entry the steps are always right.

It's always been about floor plan for us. We travel as two most of the time but sometimes our 21 yr old daughter comes along. We wanted something built for two but could handle four when needed. We absolutely love our Cruiser Patriot 345RF and are looking forward to many miles in it. Extremely open floor plan. We looked at about 30 floor plans and different manufacturers before deciding on this one. Hope to get many years from it. Find what you like!!

We are really liking our 2012 Cruiser Patriot 345RF. Yes there were a few bugs to work out, but all has been resolved. I like the fireplace and the open island, we have had up to 10 adults in there at one time sitting around and still room to spare. Good luck on your decision.
