Two problems on our first trip out this year.

When we were packing up Wednesday to come home the dining room slide didn’t work with the switch. Cranked it in manually. Got home checked fuses and pulled out the switch; checked to make sure it was plugged in securely. It was, so I held down the out on the switch and pulled on the wires going into the cabinet and slide worked. Let off tension on the wires and it would stop working. So, I have a bad connection that I have to trace and find the problem but at least I’m home. Plugged in my EMS-PT50C Progressive surge protector in my RV box and it was showing E3- High Voltage and reading 255. Tried several times and same thing so I tried it in my Honda generator and same code and reading. Contacted Progressive Tech support and explained codes and readings and tech guy said it sound like an internal problem with the surge protector. So filled a warranty clam with Progressive. I’m at home and dry so all is good.

Got out in the camper last night to make access behind the control switch panel. Decided to remove the bottom of the closet above the switch panel which had lots of tiny nails. Managed to remove it without breaking the thin panel board. Found the problem was a loose wire nut that secures four wires together. Took them apart; retwisted them and tightened the wire nut tight. All works. Replaced bottom of closet with two screws in case I need to access again in the future. Now to get my surge guard replaced.

Sorry you had these problems Ted, but it sounds like you have a good handle on them. Loose wires in an rv...imagine that. Not always easy to find.
