Looks like Crossroads has made a lot of changes to the ST lines and is adding the ST UL models. The new model will also introduce a Crossroads 1st - the hybrid. Other companies have had great success with the hybrid, here is the link:

Interesting. At first blush one would think the hybrid design is better for the Zinger line than the Sunset Trail. It is a design that is an entry level bridge from tents/campers to RV trailers, and as such the Zinger name plate seems more appropriate.
I personally don't see the appeal of the hybrid design, but agree it certainly meets a need within the market.

Zinger is stick and tin, so it wouldn't serve well in the hybrid market as such.
The ST line is better suited, a lot of hybrid owners actually prefer high end features in the package. For example, the Rockwood ROO and Jayco Jayfeather's have top of the line features including power awnings, ducted AC, heated tanks, LCD/DVD systems, etc.

Clearly, I don't know hybrid construction. The Jay Feather I'm acquainted with is a traditional light weight towable. Looked at the web site and see half of the Feathers are hybrids and half lite weight towables. Wishing Crossroads success with their new line.

I saw the new models at the rally back in August. Being an ST owner, I
didn't really like the new models, but I do understand CrossRoads
reasoning behind it. For one, I like the full slide that the ST used to have. I guess I have a "limited edition" model now .
Although after looking at the article and comparing what CrossRoads has on their website as ST U-L, I'm confused a little bit. The ones I saw at the rally were of the full trailer design like the website, not a hybrid.

Well, technically (from my understanding)the Sunset Trail is now the Cruiser CTX and the new ultralights will occupy the space the ST models use to fill.

Goes to figure. Brand new model in 2007, I buy one in 2008 and by 2010 it is already obsolete. He, he, he and I am just now coming off of warranty. I feel like a step child!

I agree with csham about not liking the new models, and I am glad I bought my ST30BH when I did. It seems so spacious compared to the new models and has so much more counter space.

I have a "widow" floorplan, mine was one of the last 31SB models made for 2009.
